Fifty-two seconds, in both languages

The same short promo, once in English and once in Arabic — the way every lesson, story and card in the app carries both.

Lessons that play like cartoons

Each lesson is a short animated story — about half a minute, five or so scenes — that teaches a real idea about the world: where rain comes from, how a seed grows, what the planets are, why we say please. Every scene carries a caption in Arabic and English, so a child sees both languages side by side while the narrator reads.

Lesson shelves in the app: a Space row with The Planets, The Seasons, The Sun Moon & Stars, Day and Night, A Trip to Space, Shooting Stars & Comets and Meet an Astronaut, then a Water & Weather row with Where Rain Comes From, Snow and Ice, Clouds and Wind, The Water Cycle and Rainbows — each tile titled in Arabic and English with its scene count and length.
Shelves by topic. Space, then Water & Weather. Every title in both languages.

Built for a child to run alone

  • Narration in Arabic, English, or both, one after the other.
  • Arabic narration is bundled inside the app — it works even on a phone with no Arabic voice installed.
  • Adjustable speed and auto-play: off, in order, or random.
  • A tappable “voice not installed” banner that opens the system voice installer, instead of failing silently.
  • Knowledge of the Day — a fresh fact every day.
  • Western numerals throughout, in both languages.

Two alphabet adventures

The two longest films in the app. Every letter — English A to Z and Arabic ا to ي — writes itself on screen, pulses, and turns into the animal it stands for. Each adventure ends with word-building from the letters the child has just met.

100+ games, twelve rooms

Puzzles, classics, arcade, board games, 3D playgrounds and creative play — all on one Arabic home screen of big tiles. Stars earned by playing unlock hero outfits; nothing costs money.

Storybooks, read aloud in Arabic and English

Illustrated tales from the Arab world and beyond — Juha and the moon in the well, Sindbad, Aladdin, Ali Baba, the generosity of Hatim al-Tai, the lion and the clever rabbit — plus Story Sketch, where a child reads a tale and then draws its scenes.

Story Time in Arabic: a grid of illustrated story tiles including Juha and the Moon in the Well, The Lion and the Clever Rabbit, The Four Friends, The Fox and the Drum, Sindbad the Sailor, Ali Baba and the Forty Thieves, Aladdin and the Magic Lamp and The Generosity of Hatim al-Tai, each marked tap to read.
Story Time. Tap a tile to read; the narrator reads along in Arabic or English.
Story Sketch: a set of eight short Japanese tales — Koi in the Pond, The Red Torii, Sakura Picnic, The Great Wave, Koinobori Day, The Lucky Cat, Climbing Mount Fuji and Festival Night — each about seven scenes, with category tabs above.
Story Sketch. Read a tale, then draw it scene by scene.

Talking Cards, built in

A picture-card board where a child taps cards to build a sentence and the app reads it aloud — with narrated clips in Arabic and English. It supports a child's own talking; it is there alongside their voice, not instead of it.

Need the full thing? Our dedicated app Talking Cards has 1,700+ words, six languages — Arabic included, with its own grammar engine — storybooks and games.

A tour of the app

Nujoom Kids plays in landscape on phones and tablets. The menus are in Arabic and mirror right-to-left. English lives inside the content: every lesson caption is bilingual, the lesson player narrates in Arabic, English or both, and each storybook and the talking-card board has its own Arabic/English toggle.

Made for families — and safe

100% free. Forever.

  • No ads of any kind. No in-app purchases. No subscription. No catches.
  • We built it because most children's apps waste a child's time on adverts; this one does not.

Asks for no permissions

  • The app does not even ask for internet access — Android will not let it reach the network. It collects nothing and can send nothing.
  • No camera, microphone, location or contacts. The hero name a child types stays on the device.

On Google Play

  • Listed under Google Play's Designed for Families programme, rated Everyone.
  • Made in Arabic, for Arabic-speaking families, with English carried through every lesson, story and card — not a translation bolted on.

The full statement is short, because there is little to say: Privacy Policy. Questions: Support.

Common questions

Is it really free?

Yes — completely, and it stays that way. There are no ads, no in-app purchases and no subscription. Stars earned by playing unlock hero outfits; nothing in the app costs money.

Does it work without internet?

Yes. The app does not ask for internet access at all, so every lesson, game, story and voice clip is inside the download. It works on a long trip, in the car, or anywhere with no signal.

Which languages does it support?

Arabic and English. The menus are in Arabic and mirror right-to-left; the content carries both languages — every lesson scene is captioned in Arabic and English, narration can be Arabic, English or both, and each storybook and the talking-card board has an Arabic/English toggle. Numbers are shown in Western numerals throughout.

What if my phone has no Arabic voice?

Arabic lesson narration and the talking cards ship with their own narrated clips, so they work with no voice pack installed. For read-aloud features that use the device voice, the app shows a tappable banner that opens the system voice installer.

What ages is it for?

Google Play lists Nujoom Kids as Everyone under Designed for Families. The lessons and alphabet adventures suit early learners; the arcade, board games and Math Lab keep older children busy.

Does it collect any data?

No. There are no accounts, no analytics and no third-party code, and the app has no permission to use the internet, so nothing can leave the device. Uninstalling removes everything.

Is it on iPhone and iPad?

Not yet — Nujoom Kids is an Android app, on Google Play and on the Amazon Appstore for Fire tablets.
