We aim to reply within two business days. Please include your device (for example "Samsung Tab A9, Android 14" or "iPad Air, iPadOS 18"), the app version, and what you were doing when the problem happened.
Lean Day Toolkit is a tool for the person who walks the floor: 5S audits with photo evidence, the eight wastes, time studies, SMED changeover analysis, shift boards, kaizen tracking and related lean tools. It runs entirely offline.
| Data collection | None. See the Privacy Policy. On Android, the app does not even declare the internet permission. |
|---|---|
| Accounts | Not required. There is no sign-in. |
| Advertising and analytics | None, and no third-party components that collect data. |
| Where data lives | No account, no login, no cloud. Audits, photos, studies and notes are stored on the device and go nowhere unless you share or print a file yourself. |
| Outside communication | Only when you act: the share sheet, printing, and the store (Google Play or the App Store) handling a purchase or restore. |
| Languages | The app is in English, Spanish, Portuguese, German, Italian, Polish, Romanian and Turkish. The films and lessons are in all eight languages. Four are narrated in your own language; German, Polish, Romanian and Turkish are subtitled. The tool videos are narrated in English, and the diagram editor is in English. |
| Platforms | iPhone and iPad (iOS 15 or later), on the App Store. Android, on Google Play. Fire tablets, on the Amazon Appstore. |
| Company or fleet licensing | Email us about volume arrangements for company devices. |
Free to start, one payment for everything. Every tool is open for your first 30 minutes, and you can extend that free for 7 days, once. After that, 5S audits and their PDF, the action list, the stopwatch, near-miss reports, 5 Whys, takt and OEE, floor notes and the whole learning section stay free. The full version opens every other tool with a single purchase — no subscription, no seats, no renewal.
Nothing is deleted. Actions raised by any tool stay in the free action list, and backup and restore stay free, so the whole record can always be taken with you. A locked tool's own screens open again with the full version.
Choose Restore a purchase in the app. The purchase is tied to the store account that bought it, so use the same Apple ID or Google account. If it still does not restore, email us with your purchase receipt and we will sort it out.
Export a backup from the app — a single file containing every record and every photograph — move that file to the new device, and restore it. The restore shows you what the file contains first, and offers Merge (add to what is there) or Replace (start from the backup).
The app includes a full data wipe under its settings, and a separate Remove demo data option that deletes only the bundled sample rows and leaves your real work untouched. Deleting the app removes everything it stored.
PDF reports, spreadsheet workbooks (.xlsx), a ZIP of a report together with its photographs, a full backup file, and a site-setup bundle (your areas and checklists, without records) that you can hand to a colleague. Everything goes through the system share sheet, to wherever you choose. The audit PDF and the backup file stay free; spreadsheet exports, the reports library and site-setup files are part of the full version.
No. Step counting is off by default, works only during a gemba walk or time study you start yourself, uses the device's own step counter, and the count stays in that record on your device.
Only when you photograph a finding or attach a picture or reference video. Each permission is requested at the moment you first use the feature, and everything else works if you decline.
Notifications are asked for when you schedule a reminder or start your first floor timer. On Android, the app also asks for Alarms & reminders when you start your first floor timer, so the timer rings on time with the screen off; if you decline, timers still run, but may ring a few minutes late.
If something is wrong — a calculation looks off, a translation reads oddly, an export is malformed, or the app misbehaves — please tell us. Corrections from people who actually walk the floor are the main way this app improves. Email support@plapl.app.
Lean Day Toolkit collects no data. Floor notes, like everything else, are stored on the device. The full statement is here: Privacy Policy.
