The app was called Talking Cards: AAC for Kids until September 2026. Same app, same publisher; this policy covers it under either name.
Last updated: 28 September 2026
In short: Talking Cards collects no data about you or your child. It has no ads, no accounts and no tracking, and works offline for everyday use. Recordings your family makes, and photos you add, stay on your device — we never receive them. The app goes online only for app-store billing, if a parent chooses the optional one-time purchase, and to count one anonymous redemption if a parent enters a free unlock code. Everything about your child stays on your device.
Talking Cards is a communication app (a “talking picture board”) that helps children who find words hard — including children with speech delays, autism, or who are nonspeaking — by speaking words aloud when a picture card is tapped. It is published by Plapl Games.

None. Talking Cards does not collect, store off your device, or share any personal information from anyone, including children. Specifically, the app does not collect:
Talking Cards can record audio on your device (see below), but those recordings are never sent to us or to anyone else.
Three features can use the microphone, and each one only while you are actively using it:
All of these recordings:
The microphone is used only while a recording control is active. The app asks for microphone permission the first time you use one of these features, and it works normally if you decline — you simply cannot record.
Talking Cards runs on your device. Building and speaking sentences, and everything your child does, works fully offline and is never sent anywhere. The app goes online for two things only, both started by a grown-up:
There is no server of ours, no cloud storage, no analytics, and no tracking of any kind.
A parent can optionally add a photo from the device to create a personal picture card. If you do:
The app requests access to your photos only at the moment you choose to add one, using the system photo picker, and only for the photo you select.
Talking Cards is designed to be used by children and their families. Because the app collects no personal information from anyone, it complies with children’s privacy laws by design, including the U.S. Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) and the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), including its provisions for children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children because we do not collect personal information at all.
Talking Cards contains no advertising and no analytics or tracking tools. The only outside code in the app is the purchase system of the store you installed it from — Apple’s, Google’s, or on Amazon Fire tablets the Amazon Appstore SDK — and the app uses it only to buy and restore the full version. We receive nothing from it about you or your child. Those purchase systems belong to the store companies and are covered by their own privacy policies; we cannot see or control what they report to their own company. We share nothing with, and sell nothing to, any third party — because we collect nothing.
Your child’s data never leaves your device. The only network use is the optional store purchase, which the app store you installed from secures and processes and from which we receive no personal data, and the anonymous unlock-code count described above. Any content you create (such as custom cards) is kept in the app’s private on-device storage.
If this policy ever changes, we will update this page and revise the “Last updated” date above. Because the app’s privacy-respecting design is core to what Talking Cards is, we expect any changes to be minor.
